Crushing sin through His death on a cross, Jesus Christ breathed life into this ragged soul. Bridging the chasm between God and man by His sacrifice, He holds out His hand and offers to bring you alive as well.

My name is Madden. I'm 20. I'm a survivor, uprooted from Nashville soil and residing within a halo of verdant mountains in New England. My life is an adventure scripted on eternal pages, writ with poetry and music, fire-arts and theological debate. Oh, and I founded Compassion Alert.

It’s hilarious how people cry “separation of church and state”! Whenever religion has any influence on politics. It just shows that they do not even know what it says

manonfireforchrist:

The law of separation of church and state says that government cannot run, manipulate, or interfere with any religion or religious establishment.

Couple Finally Reveals Child's Gender, Five Years After Birth

What I don’t understand is that the mom acts like she’s neutral as far as the child’s gender identity, but while she’s alright with him wearing a sparkly pink girl’s swimsuit, The big no-no’s are hyper-masculine outfits like skull-print shirts and cargo pants.”  It’s alright if he dresses like a very girly girl, but not alright if he dresses like a very masculine boy?

The article also adds, While the school requires different uniforms for boys and girls, Sasha wears a girl’s blouse with his pants. ”

And then, says the mom, I don’t think I’d do it if I thought it was going to make him unhappy, but at the moment he’s not really bothered either way. We haven’t had any difficult scenarios yet.”

She is dressing her little boy like a girl, not because he’s asked to dress that way, but because he’s not yet protested. His indifference is clear from her words, so she’s the driving force behind it. This sounds much more biased in the feminine direction than neutral on her part. It’s a completely different situation than having a child with gender dysphoria who innately feels the need to be of a different gender; it’s more like she’s inflicting it upon him.

First 20 to reblog— I’ll photopromo you. :)

"If we cut off their tongues and forbid the Christians speech, they love with their hands, with their feet, and with their eyes, they love always and everywhere until their last respiration. Does anybody know how to take out the power of love from these stupid Christians?"

Anon, I’m not going to reply to your last message or any other hateful messages on my blog. I run Compassion Alert because I love those kids and want them to be safe. I will not be able to take care of anyone else unless I occasionally take a break. I don’t have to answer to you. Back off.

You would think with people at risk you would bebetter about getting alerts out on time. I thought you were doing compassion alert to help people.

I understand that people are at risk. I can’t help but understand it when I deal with that reality every single day. Running Compassion Alert is a huge task, much more than just copy/pasting some text and hitting ‘post’. There are numerous things to manage that people don’t even know about. I manage other accounts, check up on a ton of people daily, mentor a lot of at-risk kids one-on-one, among other things. A lot of people ask me for advice and I have to find time to write answers. Often the blogs I have to go to in order to assess situations are filled with things that I don’t want to look at - gore, pornography, self-injury, thinspo, etc.

I’m not complaining, but if you’re going to criticize me, you must understand one can only take so much of this work before they need a break. I have sacrificed my heath for the kids on alert more than once, but I need to take into consideration that I cannot help others if I’m not taking care of myself. Thus, I will take a break when I need to and do my best to ensure that alerts still get out.

WHY ARE YOU NOT POSTING ALERTS

My friend is doing alerts tonight because I burn out if I do too much at once. I’m sure they’ll be posted soon.

Is ESV your translation of choice (if yes, how come? If no, what is and why)?

Yes, it is. The main reason I use the ESV translation is because it’s very accurate, as the translators took into account both word-by-word and concept-by-concept meanings.

If theology does not increase your love and service for the Lord, your love and service for the Church, or your love and service for the world, you’re doing it wrong.

Theology discussion chat tonight:

  • Ian: "Where does the Bible say that, Martel?"
  • Bryan: "3 Opinions 4:8."

  • Me: "What are you singing?"
  • Bryan: "A song from Church Clothes."
  • Me: "I haven't heard Church Clothes yet. I know everyone's raving about it and all, but I just haven't had time."
  • *Pause*
  • Bryan: "You don't love Jesus."

Spent a few hours with some Mormon missionaries today

and now my mother has expressed her concern that I might become a Mormon. Is this real life?
